Flame is growing wider in the hindquarters and is due any day now. She was widowed after being with her mate, Firestarter, for only about five days, so I am very relieved that she conceived.



Finnmouse added some material to it's breeding pages that include a mousie like this so the mystery is half solved. She's a silver fawn, which is neat but puzzling as I've never had a silvered mouse in this line that I've been working with for seven years. It's cool because now I can use her to make some silver blue and maybe even pearl mousies.

Thanks! I thought she was a red-eyed cream, as unlikely as that might be, but the colors have become more distinct as she's matured. I peeked at her bely and it's very  light, just as a silvered mousies should be. It's very pretty, but I'd really like to have a silvered blue even more.

On looking at the pix on Finnmouse's pages, I've changed my mind about pearl meeces. Maybe chocolate silver...and I need to decide if I have room to start another line. I don't like crowding my meeces.
